1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy describes how SP Digital LLC ("SP Digital," "we," "us," or "our"), a limited liability company incorporated in Wisconsin, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use CraftLingua (the "Service"). If you have questions, you can reach us at contact@craftlingua.app.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account Information: When you register, we collect your chosen username and a securely hashed version of your password. We do not store your password in plain text.
  • Subscription Status: We store your current subscription tier (Apprentice, Linguist, or Archmage) to determine feature access.
  • Language Data: We store the languages you create using the wizard, including all parameters (phonology, morphology, lexicon, semantics, pragmatics) and any translations you generate. This data is associated with your account and stored on our servers.
  • Usage Information: We may collect basic usage metrics (such as page visits and feature interactions) to improve the Service. This data is aggregated and not linked to individual users where possible.

3. Payment Data

All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. SP Digital LLC does not collect, store, or have access to your credit card number, bank account details, or other sensitive payment information. When you subscribe to a paid plan, you are redirected to Stripe's secure checkout. Stripe's own privacy policy governs the handling of your payment data.

We do receive from Stripe certain non-sensitive billing metadata such as your subscription status, renewal dates, and customer identifier, which we use to manage your account access.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Authenticate your account and enforce tier-based feature limits.
  • Process and manage your subscription.
  • Respond to support inquiries.
  • Monitor for abuse or security incidents.

5. We Do Not Sell Your Data

SP Digital LLC does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties for their marketing or commercial purposes. Your data is yours.

6. Data Sharing

We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We use Stripe for payment processing. We may use additional service providers (such as hosting providers) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process such as a court order or subpoena.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information and language data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable time, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including password hashing and encrypted data transmission (HTTPS) to protect your information. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights and Choices

You may access, update, or request deletion of your account data by contacting us. You can delete individual languages at any time through your Athenaeum. If you wish to close your account entirely, please contact us at the email below.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will post the updated policy with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
